1952

Walter Brock, a Presbyterian minister from the Syracuse, NY area, patented the turbulator that was so different in appearance and results from other baffles on the market that it was granted a patent.

1966

Brock sells the patent and marketing rights to CH Stuart Co. Inc. in Newark, NY. Fuel Efficiency is formed as a subsidiary of CH Stuart Co. Inc. to sell Brock “Fuel Saver: Turbulators.

1968

Herman Knapp takes over Fuel Efficiency portion of CH Stewart

1972

Kay and Herman Knapp purchase form Fuel Efficiency from CH Stuart Co. Inc. and the rights to sell Brock “Fuel Saver” Turbulators.

1980

Fuel Efficiency moves from Newark, NY to Davis Industrial Park in Clyde, NY to facilitate expansion.

1981

Acquisition of Boiler Tube Cleaner Corp of Amherst, MA and formed Boiler Equipment Trust, an automatic tubes cleaner/soot blower division.

1984

Facility expanded to double the manufacturing floor space to existing footprint.

2000

Fuel Efficiency adds twisted tape turbulators to its product lineup.

Today

Fuel Efficiency has many domestic OEM customers and ships products all over the world.
